Our latest trip to Costa Rica took us to the area around Nosara. Our day trip took us along the Pacific Coast to the north. If you zoom out on the map below, it will show Nosara in relation to the town of Liberia where the airport is located. Delta, American and United airlines fly to Liberia as of the time of this writing (1/3/14). It takes about 3 hours including about an hour on dirt roads to drive to the Nosara area. We also spent an afternoon in the town of Nicoya looking around the shops and eating lunch. It is a town of about 25,000 and is called the administrative hub for the Guanacaste peninsula which includes the beaches and the National Park. Nicoya is more of a typical Costa Rica town without a lot of tourists.
